The Farm

Back to Nature – Home to Australian native flora and fauna, the farm allows visitors to see a variety of native birds and mammals.

Hebron Farm currently is home to sheep that live peacefully on the farm with the family & guests.

We have some veggie & herb garden beds that guests can access to add some fresh produce to their cooking.

The property is nestled in a horseshoe bend of the Colo River where guests are free to swim, kayak, paddleboard & moor their boat during their stay.

“We stayed at Hebron Farm to celebrate my Nan’s 80th birthday, the space was perfect for what we needed and the kids loved spending time with the baby animals.” – Rachel

Hebron Farm is home to Australian native flora & fauna, allowing visitors to see a variety of birds & other animals during their stay. The farm is currently home to sheep. The animals on Hebron Farm are there to live a peaceful life grazing on the property in a pasture permaculture method. It is simply a matter of good grazing—working with the land and managing livestock use to ensure soil regenerates for future yields.

The farm is a place where visitors can harvest fresh produce from the house veggie & herb garden during their stay. Guests are free to fish straight out of the Colo River direct from the property.

Hebron Farm is home to an abundance of native flora and fauna. There is a resident wallaby family and the best time to see them grazing is during the misty dawn or as the sun sets over the property at dusk. If you are very lucky you may spot a wombat or bilby, and if you look up perhaps a koala or two.

Many species of birds call Hebron Farm home. We see kookaburras, cockatoos, galahs, rosellas, wedge-tailed eagles, gang gangs, bell birds and many more. An amazing chorus of birdsong welcomes the sun each morning on the property.

“Hebron Farm Homestead and Hebron Cottage were an awesome escape. We made use of the kayaks, fire pits, fire place and we also got to feed the animals. Workers on the farm were also helpful and friendly. We’ll definitely be back.” – Romel

  • The River

The Colo River is home to a variety of fish for keen anglers. World-famous Colo River perch, flathead, bream, and mullet can be caught by those choosing to drop a fishing line into the water. Swimming in the river is a must in the warmer weather, and this can be done directly from the property at “the beach” or the boat ramp.

  • The Property

The property is dotted with native trees and we are working hard to reintroduce more to the farm. There are gums, eucalypts, white cedar trees – that are all native to Lower Portland. We have also planted a variety of certified organic fruit trees and vegetables, and plan to harvest, eat, juice, and preserve the produce that we grow on the farm. It is possible to book both properties for a large group stay on Airbnb via our listing Hebron Farm.

“Hebron Farm is a lovely retreat just a couple of hours away from the hustle & bustle of the city life & it perfectly catered to our large group of 13 adults & 9 kids. Even though it was rainy during our stay, we didn’t feel all cooped up for there were plenty of activities especially for the kids that even got them off from their gadgets most times during our stay. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need & we found it quite thoughtful that our lovely hosts welcomed us to their lovely home with trays of fresh eggs & bottles of wine for us to enjoy. The Farm Manager, was very friendly & accommodating; she made sure we were well-looked after. So thumbs way up to everyone for making our stay at Hebron Farm quite memorable! We’d certainly hope to be back. Thanks so much guys!” – Grace
